[Case Study] Biwako Valley

We are now able to carry out various responses ahead of schedule with ease! Let me introduce some case studies.

We would like to introduce a case where the lightning and weather information provision system "Lightning Scope Plus" was implemented at Biwako Valley. The summit is a place where the weather can change rapidly. To ensure the safety of our customers, it is necessary to reliably collect lightning information, make timely situational judgments, and take proactive safety measures. Previously, responses were reactive, based on the visibility and audibility of lightning, leading to a chaotic situation. After implementing this product, it became possible to obtain accurate lightning information in advance, allowing all actions to be carried out proactively and with ample time. [Before Product Implementation] - Customer announcements and various actions, such as turning off equipment, were only taken after lightning was visible or audible. - Frequent use of last-resort measures (such as stopping the ropeway or evacuating customers from the summit) could lead to disappointment for customers who had traveled from afar. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Japan Display Inc. Ishikawa Factory

It is possible to comprehensively grasp the flow of thunderclouds! Case study of the thunder and weather information provision system.

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of the lightning and weather information provision system "Lightning Scope Plus" at Japan Display Inc., Ishikawa Factory. Previously, we relied on lightning information that was freely published on the websites of power companies and weather services to understand lightning conditions. However, the update intervals for this information were long, making it insufficient for precise decision-making. As a result, the person in charge had to supplement the lack of information based on their own experience and intuition, which created a high level of human burden and dependence on individual judgment, as they had to constantly monitor lightning conditions 24/7. Since the introduction of our product, it has become possible for almost anyone to make accurate judgments based on sufficient information. [Challenges Before Product Implementation] ■ The lightning information that was freely published on websites had long update intervals, making it insufficient for precise decision-making. ■ The person in charge was supplementing the lack of information based on their own experience and intuition, resulting in a high level of human burden. ■ There was a high level of dependence on individual judgment, as only the person in charge could make decisions. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Nagoya Guidance and Propulsion Systems Manufacturing Division

Enabling reliable pre-recognition and judgment! Case study of the introduction of a thunder and weather information provision system.

We would like to introduce a case where the lightning and weather information provision system "Lightning Scope" was implemented at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. Nagoya Guidance and Propulsion Systems Manufacturing Division. Previously, each manufacturing site dealt with lightning (and instantaneous voltage drops) by making independent judgments based on weather forecasts and visual assessments. Unlike typhoons and heavy rain, lightning strikes occur suddenly, making it difficult to predict, and there were challenges in understanding distant lightning conditions. Therefore, we introduced our product, which guarantees a certain level of accuracy and timing of information delivery, and allows for customization. By using the system, it has become possible to reliably recognize and make judgments in advance regarding sudden heavy rain (and the accompanying lightning) such as guerrilla rain. 【Challenges Before Product Implementation】 ■ Lightning strikes occur suddenly, making it difficult to predict ■ Unable to understand distant lightning conditions ■ High dependency on individuals ■ Even if information is available, it cannot be automatically communicated to the manufacturing site ■ Unable to provide information in stages *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
